Tomatoes - Straight From The Horse's Trough




August delivers many things including fresh tomatoes along with corn on the cob and other healthy veggies. Those featured photo above include the Roma variety along with the Heinz slicing ones.  Roma's are good for making salsa or canning of tomatoes to use in your winter soups and stews. Here's the finished product all lined up:
